Joe Carroll, franchisee of Five Guys Burgers & Fries in the Greater Cincinnati market, is on a mission. And it has everything to do with Stone Creek Towne Center in Colerain Township, developed by Brandicorp LLC of Bellevue, Ky.

The casual-dining world has been set aflame by Five Guys Burgers & Fries, and fans in Greater Cincinnati can’t get enough of the fresh ground beef, hand-cut fries and retro 1950s vibe.

Carroll has been celebrating the recent release of a Zagat Survey, naming Five Guys as the best national chain for fresh-cooked burgers with an announcement of his sixth local store opening this week at Stone Creek Towne Center in Colerain Township.

Five Guys joins a highly successful Stone Creek lineup of restaurants and eateries that spans a gamut of dining options: Logan’s Roadhouse, Quaker Steak & Lube, Qdoba, Olive Garden, LaRosa’s, LaPinata Mexican Restaurant. And there’s room for more, says developer Brandicorp.

With his sixth store en route, and as many as 25 in his master plan, Carroll took some time out to reflect on the popular Zagat survey. “There are many reasons why people love Five Guys. It’s difficult to put all of that into words, but the Zagat report sure helps in that regard,” Carroll said.

“We’re big, with more than 650 stores nationwide, so people are going to have more opportunities to try us,” Carroll said.

“Secondly, we’re a custom burger shop, so you can get the toppings any way you like. And don’t forget the freshness factor.” The full Zagat “Best Burger” report is available at
