Larry Blake, Northern Kentucky University

Mr. Larry Blake serves as Assistant Vice President for Facilities at Northern Kentucky University from 2003 to present. He is responsible for Budgeting for and the management of facility operations including executive oversight of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, Facilities Maintenance, Parking, Residence Hall Maintenance Operations, and Custodial Services.

Larry served for 23 years as an officer in the US Air Force; 19 years as a Base Civil Engineering Officer. He s erved as Director of Construction, director of Facility Planning and Design, Base Civil Engineer, Red Horse Construction Team Commander.

Mr. Blake also worked for four years as Associate Professor of Engineering Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB. He taught a verity of management courses including base facility operations, construction management and maintenance management, facility related financial management, master planning and general management topics.

Larry has served as Director of Facilities Management at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio from 1991 to 2001.  Responsibilities included oversight of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, Facilities Maintenance and custodial services.

He has served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities at UNC Fayetteville from 2001 to 2003.  Larry was responsible for budgeting and management of facility operations including executive oversight of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, Facilities Maintenance, Parking, Residence Hall Maintenance Operations, and custodial services.

Serves on the Board of Directors for APPA (Association for Physical Plant Administrators) an International organization primarily focused on college and university facilities management.  Served as president of and is currently on the Board of Directors for SRAPPA, the South-Eastern Regional APPA organization.
